Applying a template of tiers to imported Toolbox file?

Is it possible to apply a template of tiers, which I created, after importing a Toolbox file? I want to avoid specifying the font for a certain tier, for example, every time I import Toolbox files.

Thank you.

The Toolbox import always creates a new file and it is not possible to specify a .etf template file to load the annotations into.

But the font-per-tier settings are stored in the preferences file (.pfsx) accompanying each .eaf and .etf file, not in the (in this case) template file.
There are two things that you can try: after importing a Toolbox file and saving it as .eaf, choose Edit->Preferences->Import Preferences… and select the .pfsx of your template file. You might have to save and close the file and open it again to see if the import had the desired effect.
Alternatively, you could import the Toolbox file, save it and then close it again. In the Explorer or Finder delete the newly created .pfsx file, copy the .pfsx file of the template to the folder where your new .eaf is, rename the copy of the .pfsx file such that it has the same name (apart from the extension) as the new .eaf. Then open the .eaf again in ELAN to see if the right font is there.
All this only works, of course, in the case of consistent tier names.

Hello Han,

Thank you for your reply. Import Preferences worked.
Your help is much appreciated!
