Bugs

Hello,

I’m using the testing version of Arbil and have found some bugs.

These ones I emailed to Peter:

  • Adding files from favourites or the working folders doesn’t work. Dragging them over normally (often you have to try twice) works though.
  • When you add a resource it adds a weird string of numbers to the filename
  • If you add an actor so that there is a standard actor in the entry and then add an actor from the favourites list and delete the standard actor you get two (partial) copies of the actor from the favourites and need to restart the program in order to fix it (and if you do this both copies disappear).

And here’s some new ones:

  • It doesn’t show the proper subgenre dropdown menu when the genre has been selected.

  • Also you can’t type anything into fields which have a dropdown box. This is particularly a problem for the content:subject field which only has ‘unknown’ and ‘unspecified’ as options and won’t even let you paste anything else in there.

Thanks!

Rebecca

Fields that have a dropdown menu are controlled vocabulary fields and
there are two types of controlled vocabularies ‘open’ and ‘closed’.
Closed vocabularies do not allow text that is not in the list to be
entered. So this behavior is correct in some instances, however the
content.subject field is an open vocabulary and should allow free text entry so I will investigate the cause of this.
