I’m trying to find a way to switch the time format from lapsed time from the start of the video file to calendar time (actual time of the video). I wasn’t sure if there was a way to do this either in Elan while I am coding or when it is exported (or if it’s possible at all). Does anyone have any experience with this?
This is not possible in ELAN; there is no place in ELAN where you can specify the calendar time of the start of the video.
You can convert the times yourself after exporting to e.g. tab delimited text? Exporting the time values in milliseconds format probably makes the equation and conversion to calendar time easiest (but that depends on your choice of how to convert).
