Coding maternal touch

Hi - iam using ELAN to code different types of maternal behavior and would like to know if I can include my edited controlled vocabulary in a segmentation mode where I can have a a specific key by tactile behavior.

For example, I am interested in coding distinct maternal behavior - afective, static, etc, and added the categories in edited controlled vocabulary. I am interested in coding each behavior ( 1- affective: 2 - static; 3 - …), but using a segmentation way in which I press a specific key according with the type of behavior observed (everything in same tier). Is this possible or I need to do it using the mouse and select each controlled vocabulary individually?

Many thanks!
Helga

I think what you could do is to create a controlled vocabulary with the behaviors you want to code, associate a key stroke with each entry of the vocabulary and then do the segmentation in Segmentation Mode.
At the bottom of the following page in the manual the “More Options” button is mentioned, giving access to the window where you can set a keystroke for each entry:

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I will try that!
