Hey everyone!

I would like to create a new template in Arbil and cannot find any useful information on how to do it in the manuals. I got this far: I created a new template in Arbil, found the related files (template.xml, example-format.xsl and the default.xml in the components section). I guess, I have to modify the default file or replace it with another one, but I have no clue how it should look like, as I can’t find any equivalent for example for the session-template. I thought it would be easy to copy one of the existing templates and modify it from there.
Thanks for your help!

Sorry that it took so long to reply. We are not really working on Arbil anymore and most of the people that know the program have left.
Unfortunately, the templating system has never been fully documented, but there exists at least one other template apart from the default one that you get when you click on ‘new template’, namely one for sign language data. You can see it on github: here and here.

The point of these templates is to customize Arbil when used in IMDI mode, but as IMDI is a dying standard, maybe you want to investigate the possibility to switch to CMDI which is a much more flexible format.
