Definition of export and import xml files

I am writing an xslt script to create an xml file to import data into ELAN. Is there an XSD which defines the xml import format?

I’m not sure if I understand correctly what you mean by an xml import format, but in case you want to generate files in ELAN’s EAF format, the URL of the current XSD can be found in the (xmlns:)xsi attribute of the root element of an .eaf file as saved by ELAN.
(The current xsd is “EAFv3.0.xsd” and this is its location.)
