I was wondering why Praat is not included among the tools. Louise

Please explain what you mean by “included among the tools”. Praat is a free open source software available at http://www.fon.hum.uva.nl/praat/ (University of Amsterdam, Phonetics department)

If you meant “please list it on the http://tla.mpi.nl/tools/tla-tools/ page”, there would be a misunderstanding: We are not the creators of Praat, so we can not advertise it there as if we would have invented it.

In any case, I personally think Praat and Audacity are nice free open source tools for audio processing, no question 🙂

At the moment the list of tools only covers software that is developed here at TLA. This is why Praat is not on the list.
