Problems reenabling video "zoom" feature

My situation is simply that I need to zoom in on my videos depending on the tier I’m working on.

As far as I’ve understood, the video zoom feature works only on Windows and does not work with the Quicktime for Java player, which I had previously selected as a work around of a different video playing problem of my MPEG-4/MOV files. I’m trying to change the Media Framework to reenable the zooming function, but to no avail.

Here’s what I’ve done: I selected Java Media Framework and closed ELAN completely, but when I reopen my EAF and view the player info, it continues to show Quicktime for Java Media Player. The same happens when I select Java - DirectShow Framework.

Any suggestions?

The combination of .mov and JDS player is problematic, but apparently it worked for you before. I’m guessing that now, when you specify JDS Player as the preferred media player, an attempt is made to create a player but that this fails. You could check in the log after opening an eaf file: View->View Log… and see if there is a message of the JDS Player that it couldn’t play the file.

You know, I’m just thinking it’s possible to have the best of both worlds… I think I’m just going to use the Magnifier program preinstalled in Windows! So far it seems to work just fine for my needs!

Thanks!
