Hi! I am importing a tsv file that has 9 columns. But when i import it in ELAN I see 13 columns and in the transcription mode there is a separate tier for each speech segment. The bigger problem is that that the text is segmented oddly and annotations are split into several columns instead of a single column. The text is in Hindi and the encoding is utf8. Can you please share if this is a known problem in ELAN? Or what is going on here?

Here is the sample from the source file that has English and Hindi code-mixed data. हाँ जी, मैं नितीश बात कर रहा हूँ <lang:English> sir, policy bazaar dot com </lang:English> से
<lang:English&g </lang:English&gt are opening closing tags that precede and follow English text in Hindi transcript.

Hi, this sounds like this could be the same problem reported here?

Hi, can we export ELAN into Toolbox?

Hi all,

These questions seem to suit better to the ELAN forum.

Yes, it is possible to export to Toolbox. Although not perfect, there is actually a manual for ELAN, e.g. the online version. With a section on export to Toolbox.
