Videos suddenly stopped playing both new and old .eaf files

Hi, I have been using ELAN for around 6 months for behavioural coding. I am currently halfway through a project with 60 ish videos. The first 35 have been fine, number 36 hasn’t loaded and played and now when I return to previous. eaf files the video doesn’t play again. I haven’t changed anything.

Any ideas?

If nothing changed it will be very difficult (if not impossible) to explain this problem. Are you sure there hasn’t been e.g. an automatic update of (part of) the system?

If a video doesn’t play, there might be useful information in the log after opening an .eaf with a video (View->View Log…). It is not necessary to post the entire contents of the log here, only information that seem to concerns a media player and maybe the part were the ELAN and OS versions are printed.

Thanks, I really struggled with this but got it working on another machine. It turned out that it was a problem with my Sound Driver. When I uninstalled and reinstalled those everything worked
